MPOC Leg 4

T.D.M. has just came back to SG from MPOC Leg 4 in KL... eerr ok we were already back for 3 days so don't bug me alrite. =P

DM did quite well this leg i should say, bettering the 11th out of 22 teams and not qualifying at Leg 2. We did well on the first day considering all the trouble we had to go through:

Arriving in KL at around 11+, the taxi ride to the hotel took a good 1 hr, only to realize that the hotel we booked was pretty sleazy, there was a "ah neh" KTV prolly on the second or third floor. The hotel wasn't sound proofed, which meant we could still hear the KTV, even on the 7th floor!

There were a few other factors which made us want to change rooms - The room which Jason and Charles took smelt like it was flooded or something, the room i, Vince and Cavin was had mozzies, and the extra "Bed" we paid 30rm a night for was all but a wooden plank wrapped up like a bed. The TV wasnt even working well. Only Azmi and Rafie's room was fine.

We had a team meeting and decided we would change hotels. It was 1am then and it was only around 3am when we found a hotel that still had rooms at right smack in Chinatown at Petalling Street.

Nevertheless, despite all that trouble, not adding to the first match we missed due to us not being informed of a timing change during the captain's meeting held the night before, we managed to get 6 wins out of 9 and qualified in 7th place including the pulsating last match against KSK Flash (Winners of D4) where i took out the last remaining 3 players (the first and only match i played mid).

That first match we missed prolly costed us dearly as we got grouped together with 2 of the eventual podium teams - Red Hawks and Prolintas Legion X. I guess we were still not used to being in such pressure and some personal, including my tactical mistakes resulted us in getting beat in all 3 group matches which sent us home for a early bath...

I would think it was a rather good run out for DM, some of our team members really improved alot which i think should deserve some mention from me:

Azmi: prolly our most improved player!

Jason: His timed runs down field won quite a few games for us!

Rafie: He's progressing well, need more practice though!

Cavin: The comeback kid havent lost his touch, will prolly push him forward more.

We will be training hard for the Leg5/WCA/SPS (TBC), rectifying our mistakes/shortcomings. Hope we can continue to grow from strength to strength!

Please continue to support us!
